Western Foothills RSU 10
RSU 10, serving the towns of Buckfield, Hanover, Hartford, Mexico, Roxbury, Rumford, and Sumner, is anticipating a vacancy for a full-time school psychologist for the 2020-2021 school year to serve Hartford-Sumner Elementary School and Buckfield Junior-Senior High School.
School Psychologists in RSU 10 are responsible for meeting the special education testing needs for the buildings to which they are assigned, and are expected to be engaged with both academic and behavioral MTSS efforts in those buildings. Outside of these commitments, much professional autonomy is allowed relative to the provision of intervention, participation in other building and district initiatives, etc. The Psych Team in RSU 10 includes two additional school psychologists covering the Rumford and Mexico schools, as well as an academic evaluator who completes most achievement testing. RSU 10 allows school psychologists to maintain a flexible schedule that may include report writing from home if desired.
