Workshop Description:  

  • Review the trends of aggression and/or violence nationally and internationally.

  • Discuss the major brain systems connected to aggression and/or violence.

  • Formulate evaluation procedures combining neurocognitive and socio-emotional-forensic tools to assist with options involving School Psychology and/or School Neuropsychological perspectives.

  • Ponder general legal & ethical approaches for school services involving Manifestation of Determination along with Emotional Disturbance/Disability vs. a Social Maladjustment.

  • Review of various strategies and approaches that could guide the Team with assisting youth with reducing violence and aggression. Case formulation will be weaved throughout the presentation.

This is a full day presentation.  Registration includes continental breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel, you must either cancel your registration online or submit written notification to MASP at least 10 days in advance for a full refund. Cancellations with less than 10 days notice will receive a refund less the cost of food (typically $60) and a $25 processing fee. Please email your request to maineasp@gmail.com.
