Streamlining School Psychology Workflows: AI-Powered Google Workspace Solutions for Ethical Reporting and Collaboration

Description: Google Workspace’s AI tools offer school psychologists a secure, efficient framework for managing sensitive student data while enhancing report-writing workflows.  This training will provide an overview of how to establish HIPAA compliance through Google’s Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and configuring Workspace with encryption, audit logging, and role-based access controls to protect student records. We will also demonstrate how to use Google Meet’s built-in transcription recording for parent/teacher interviews and other meetings. Lastly, we will provide guidance on how to leverage Google's AI models within the Gemini chat interface to draft reports based on your custom instructions  while adhering to confidentiality protocols. We will also demonstrate how accessing Gemini through Google Workspace allows for integration to Google Drive for seamless and secure access to student records.

• Set up HIPAA-compliant Google Workspace by enabling encryption, audit logs, and role-based access controls through a Business Associate Agreement (BAA).
• Use Google Meet to automatically generate searchable transcripts of meetings, interviews, and consultations.
• Leverage Gemini AI in Gemini Chat to generate and revise psychological reports using custom prompts and templates.
• Optimize workflows by combining AI tools (Gemini) with Google Workspace apps (e.g. Drive, Docs) to reduce administrative burden.
